How can admin add an employee to greytHR database and enroll them for PF contribution?

Enrolling an employee for PF (Provident Fund) contribution means registering the employee as a participant in the Provident Fund scheme and initiating the process of deducting a portion of their salary for contribution to the Provident Fund.


To add an employee to the greytHR database and enroll them for the PF contribution, the admin must perform the following steps:

  1. Add an employee to the greytHR database. To know how to add an employee, click here.
  2. Add the salary details of the employee you just added to the database, click here.
  3. Enroll the employee on the government PF website. Perform the following steps to enroll a first-time PF contributor to the government portal:
    1. Visit the Government of India EPFO Homepage. To visit the EPFO Homepage, click here.
    2. Sign in to Establishment using greytHR ID and password.

    3. Under the Member section, click the Register Individual tab.

    4. Enter the employee’s KYC details such as PAN, Aadhaar, and bank details.

    5. Under the Approval section, read and click Approve to verify all details. 

  4. Add/Update the PF details of the employee in the greytHR database. To know how to add/update the PF details, click here.
