Overtime is the extra hours put in by an employee exceeding their usual work schedule.

In industries, where blue-collar workers comprise over 60% of the workforce, overtime (OT) is highly valued. As a result, managers are the main contact for applying and managing overtime requests for their team members.

The manager can do this task only if the admin enables access rights to the manager role.

To configure access rights, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, click the Settings icon > User Administration > User > User Roles. The User Roles page opens.

  2. Select the Manager user role card and click the Edit icon. A page opens.

  3. From the Category dropdown list, select Overtime. The table displays all the related features.

  4. In the Search search box, enter Manager

  5. From the table, select the feature Overtime Apply-Manager and enable Read Access and Write Access checkboxes.

  6. Click Save to update the changes. A success message appears.
