Permission is the formal consent, approval, or authorization granted to employees for activities such as taking time off, leaving work early, or engaging in some other activity that requires authorization from a supervisor or higher authority.

The error message Permission request for this date is outside the allowed range appears when the permission policy is set to either Employee can apply for past date(s) or Employee can apply for future date(s), as specified in the Date Criteria options.

This restriction is based on the total number of days an employee is permitted to apply for past or future dates. The restriction limits employees from submitting permission requests for dates that fall beyond the specified allowed range. It gives admin control over the time range within which employees can submit applications. To enable the Date criteria option click here.
