A goal is a broad target an individual employee aims to achieve, which can include one or more specific milestones within a set period.
A milestone is a key point or significant step in the process of reaching a goal, showing an important achievement towards that goal. Determining the progress towards a goal depends on how well one meets these milestones.
An employee can have multiple goals for them in a goal cycle and a goal can have multiple milestones.
