A stand-in user is a simulated or substitute user used in software development or testing to mimic real user interactions or to showcase user experiences for evaluation and feedback.

To configure the stand-in user option in the leave application, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Settings icon > System Settings > Leave > Leave Rules. The Leave Rules page opens.
  2. From the Leave Rules tab, select a required leave type card, for example - Sick Leave
  3. Click the Edit icon on the selected leave type card. A form appears.
  4. Click the ▼ icon. A dropdown list appears.
  5. Select the Workflow Settings option. A form appears.
  6. From the Allow Employees to select a Stand-in Employee when applying for leave option, select Yes.
  7. Click Finish to update the changes.
