How can admin change employee number?

The organizations allot a unique ID or employee number to each of their employees when they add an employee to the database.

To change the employee number of an employee, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin login, navigate to Header bar, in the Search Actions search box, search Change Employee Number. The Change Employee Number page opens. 
  2. In the Search Employee search box, select the employee whose employee number you want to change.
  3. From the Employee Number Series dropdown list, select the required option. The new employee number automatically displays in the Revised Employee Number text box.
  4. This option is only active if you select the Manual Entry in the Employee Number Series dropdown list. If you have selected Manual Entry, enter the new employee number in the Revised Employee Number text box.
  5. In the Reason description box, enter the reason for changing the employee Id.
  6. Click Save to save the new employee id for the selected employee. A success message appears.
