What are the professional tax slab rates in Punjab?

Professional tax is a tax levied by the state government on individuals who earn a living through salary. Since it is levied by the state government, each state has a slab, and the professional tax is deducted based on these slabs.

The Professional Tax slab rates in Punjab are as follows:

Class of persons	PT/Month
All such persons who are assessable under the Head Income from salaries and or wages as per the Income Tax Act, 1961.	Rs. 200
All such persons who are assessable under the Head Income from business and or profession as per the Income Tax Act, 1961.	Rs. 200
