How can the admin set up a standard probation period for all employees?

The probation period is a trial period where the company monitors the employee's performance for the post's suitability. The employer decides whether an employee can continue the job or not. 

To set up a standard probation period for all employees, perform the following methods:

a. Set the probation period from the Employee Options page.


To set the probation period from the Employee Options page, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin login, navigate to Settings icon > System Settings > Employee Employee Options. The Employee Options page opens.
  2. From the Probation Period spin box, select or enter the number of days you want as probation period. 
  3. Click Save to set the probation period. 

b. Set the probation period from the Advanced Options page.

To set the probation period, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin login, navigate to Settings icon > System Settings Miscellaneous Advanced Options. The Advanced Options page opens.
  2. In the Search text box, enter Probation. The probation period settings appear.
  3. Double-click the Value text box next to the Probation Period and enter the number of days/months as per your requirements. The number of days/months is the default probation period for all employees.
  4. Click Save to set the probation period.
