SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is a standard protocol used for single sign-on (SSO) authentication and authorization. When SAML is enabled, it means that an application or system has been configured to support SAML-based authentication and authorization processes.

To restrict the ESS login by username & password when SAML is enabled option, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to the Settings icon > System Settings > Miscellaneous > Advanced Options. The Advanced Options page opens.
  2. On the Advanced Options page, in the Search box, enter Saml. A table appears.
  3. Select the checkbox available next to the Restrict ESS Login By Username And Password, If Saml Enabled option.
Note: Deselect the checkbox to enable the ESS login by username & password when SAML is enabled.
  4. Click Save to enable the selected option and restrict the ESS login.
