How can admin add new leave types for employees?

Leave type means the different categories or classifications of leave that employees can take from work, such as annual leave, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, and other types of time off.

To add a new leave type, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin login, navigate to Settings icon > System Settings Leave Leave Type. The Leave Type page opens.

  2. Click the + Add Leave Type button. A form appears.

  3. In the Leave Name text box, enter the name of your leave.

  4. In the Code text box, enter a valid code for your leave type.

  5. In the Sort Order textbox, enter the sort order of the leave.

  6. Select Allow employee to apply for the leave option if you want your employee to apply for this leave.

  7. In the Description box, enter the description of the leave.

  8. From the Leave Type dropdown list, select the required leave type.

  9. Click Save to add a new leave type.
