Why does the system ignore the shift overridden in the shift roster after the admin overrides an employee's shift from the shift override tab during attendance processing?

The system does not take into account the shift that was changed in the shift roster after the admin manually changes an employee shift using the Shift Override tab, when processing attendance. This happens when the option in the Advanced Options page Consider Shift Roster Over Shift Override Changes is not selected for the employees.

To enable the option to consider shift roster over shift override changes, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Settings icon > System Settings > Miscellaneous Advanced Options. The Advanced Options page opens.

  2. From the Select dropdown list, select Attendance

  3. In the Search search box, enter Consider Shift Roster Over Shift Override Changes

  4. From the table, under Caption, select the Consider Shift Roster Over Shift Override Changes checkbox.

  5. Click Save to consider the shift roster over the shift override changes option.
