What are different methods by which admin can override employees' attendance?

Overriding employee shifts refers to the ability to manually modify or change the scheduled shifts of employees in a workforce management system or scheduling software. 


The Manual Override page in the greytHR Admin portal allows you to override an employee's shift/attendance manually. You can revise the attendance details based on employee, shift, or a specific date range. The changes you make here reflect on the Attendance Muster page. 


The page displays the following tabs:

  • Shift Override - The tab allows you to override the employees’ shifts.

  • Employee Wise - The tab allows you to override the attendance for a single employee.

  • Date Wise - The tab allows you to override the attendance for a specific date for multiple employees.

  • Override - The tab displays the history of the overridden attendance.


The admin can perform the following actions on the Manual Override page:

  1. Override attendance shift-wise.

  2. Override attendance employee-wise. 

  3. Override attendance date-wise.

  4. View and delete overridden attendance.
