Employees are entitled to deductions or penalties based on their period of attendance finalization. Duplicate months appear on the Period dropdown list of the Attendance Period Finalisation page if the attendance is not locked for older periods and the attendance start date is changed by the end of the month.

To avoid the creation of duplicate months and ensure accurate attendance period finalization, the admin must:

  • Lock the attendance for older periods.

  • Change the attendance start date by the end of the period by selecting the required number of days on the Advanced Options page.

To change the attendance start date, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to the Settings icon > System Settings > Miscellaneous Advanced Options. The Advanced Options page opens.

  2. From the Section dropdown list, select Attendance.

  3. In the Search search box, enter start date. The table displays the related options.

  4. In the Attendance Start Date row, under the Value column, double-click the row to enter the required value.

  5. Click Save to change the attendance start date. A success message appears.
