An attendance cycle is a set time used to track employee attendance, including work hours, leaves, and absences. It aligns with the payroll or shift schedule.

To edit the employees’ default attendance cycle, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Settings > System Settings > Attendance > Attendance Cycle. The Attendance Cycle page opens.

  2. Select the Default Attendance Cycle card and click Edit. The Edit Attendance Cycle pop-up appears.

  3. From the Start Date spin box, select the start date as per your requirements. The Cut-Off Date auto-populates.
    Note:

    1. The cut-off date is the deadline to complete all attendance-related activities. This date is different from the end date.

    2. You must select the Start Date and Cut-Off Date values. If you select a start date that is different from the actual default date then the system highlights the overlapping days. You must then adjust these overlapping days either in the Start Date or Cut-Off Date month.

    3. From the Attendance Month Selection for Overlapping Days dropdown list, select the month that you want to adjust the overlapping days as per your requirements.

  4. Click Confirm to save the changes.

Note: Click History to view the history log of the Default Attendance Cycle such as the Start DateCut-Off DateEffective fromEffective tillUpdated ByUpdated on, and Overlapping Days.

Note: If a new cycle is created, the admin cannot edit the default cycle.
