Explain the difference between the Avail and Apply leave options for the Eligibility Criteria leave rule.

Created by Product Content Team, Modified on Fri, 11 Jul at 11:04 AM by Product Content Team

Applying for leave involves requesting permission to be absent, while avail leave signifies the act of being on leave during the approved period. The avail and apply leave options are part of the Eligibility Criteria leave rule.

For example, as per your company policy if the company instructs the admin to restrict the employee leave applications before the employee confirmation date, then the Apply condition is applicable. But if the company allows the backdated leave applications (probationary period), then the Avail condition is applicable.

To apply this leave rule as an admin you must:

  • Navigate from the greytHR Admin portal to the Settings icon > System Settings > Leave > Leave Rules.
Note: You can customize the Eligibility Criteria leave rule as per your company policy requirements.
