How can admin grant compensatory off/comp off to an employee?

Compensatory off, also known as comp-off, grants employees time off from work to compensate for the extra hours or effort they put in beyond their regular working hours. 


To grant compensatory off/comp off to an employee, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From your greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Leave > Information > Employee Leave. The Employee Leave page opens.
  2. From select an employee search box, search and select the employee. 
  3. Click the Post Leave Transaction button. The Post Leave Transaction page appears.
  4. From the Leave Type dropdown list, select Compensatory Off.
  5. Select Granted from the Transaction Type dropdown list. 
  6. Select the appropriate date range and session from the From Date and To Date.
  7. In the Days text box, enter the number of days you want to grant the employee as comp off.
  8. In the Expire Date box, click and select the expiry date of compensatory off from the calendar. 
  9. In the Reason text box, type the reason.
  10. If you want to ignore the current leave policy rules, select the Ignore Leave Apply Rules check box. 
  11. Click Save to grant comp off for the selected employee.
    Note: Step 8 to Step 10 are optional.
