Maternity leave allows employees who are expecting or have recently given birth to a child to take time off from work.

To grant maternity leave to an employee manually, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Leave > Information > Employee Leave. The Employee Leave page opens.
  2. From the Search Employee search box, search for the employee you want to grant maternity leave.
  3. Click Post Leave Transaction. The Post Leave Transaction form appears.
  4. From the Leave Type dropdown list, select Maternity Leave.
  5. Select Granted from the Transaction Type dropdown list.
  6. Select the appropriate date range and session from the From Date and To Date.
  7. In the Days text box, enter the number of days you want to grant the employee as maternity leave.
  8. In the Expire Date box, click and select the expiry date from the calendar.
  9. In the Reason text box, type the reason.
  10. Select Ignore Leave Apply Rules using the checkbox if you want to ignore the current leave policy rules.
  11. Click Save to post the granted leave transaction for the selected employee.
Note: Step 8 to Step 10 are optional.
