How can admin manage employee Shift Roster?

Overriding employee shifts refers to the ability to manually modify or change the scheduled shifts of employees in a workforce management system or scheduling software.


To manage employee Shift Roster using Excel Importer, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Employee > Admin > Excel Import. The Excel Import page opens. Alternatively, in the Search Actions search box, search and open Import Data From Excel.
  2. In Step 1: Excel importer, from the Importer Type dropdown list, select Shift Roster.
  3. Under Step 1Excel Importer, click Download a sample file
  4. In the saved Excel file on your computer, fill in the details you want to upload, and delete the blank columns. Save and close the Excel importer file.
  5. Under Step 1Excel Importer, click Upload File to upload the Excel importer.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Under Step 2Excel Importer Mapping, map the fields from Excel to the application terms, if required. To map a field, select the corresponding field under the Mapped To column.
    Note: This step is mandatory if you have changed the format of the Excel file.
  8. Click Next. You are redirected to Step 3Excel Importer Validate.
  9. Click Next to manage the employee Shift Roster using Excel Importer.
