Can admin override probation period of an employee? If yes, how?

Yes, the admin can override the probation period of an employee.


A probation period evaluates a new employee's performance to determine their suitability for the job and informs the employer's decisions on long-term employment.


To override the probation period of an employee, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin login, navigate to Employee Information Employee Profile. The Employee Profile page appears.
  2. From the Search Employee search box, search for the employee whose probation period you want to override.
  3. Next to Joining Details, you can view an Edit icon. Click the Edit icon to modify the details related to joining. 
  4. In the Probation Period box, enter the number of days you want to set as the employee’s probation period.
  5. Click Save to save the changes.
