Employees' Provident Fund(EPF), is a retirement savings scheme that involves regular contributions by both the employee and employer, based on a percentage of the employee's salary.

To enable an employee’s EPF excess contribution, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Employee Information Bank/PF/ESI. The Bank/PF/ESI page appears.
  2. From the Search Employee search box, search for the employee whose excess EPF contribution you want to enable.
  3. Next to PF Account, you can view an Edit icon. Click the Edit icon to update the PF details.
  4. Select the check box Allow EPF excess contribution.
Note: The excess EPF is calculated at 12% of basic salary. But if you deselect the Allow EPF excess contribution checkbox then the limit is capped to Rs. 1800.
  5. From the Document Type drop-down list, select the relevant document.
  6. Click Save to enable the selected employee’s EPF excess contribution details.
