Managing assets or asset groups refers to the process of organizing and overseeing the various assets owned or used by an organization.
The Assets Management page allows the admin to monitor and manage the organization's asset groups.
To add an asset to the Asset Type list, the admin must perform the following actions:
- From the greytHR Admin navigate to Assets Management > Asset Management. The Asset Management page opens.
- Under the Register tab, click Add Asset. The form appears.
- From the Asset Group dropdown list, select the relevant group.
- From the Asset Type dropdown list, select the type of asset you want to add.
- Click Upload Image to upload a photo of the new asset.
- In the Description text box, enter more details about the new asset.
- From the Location dropdown list, select the location of the asset.
- From the Brand dropdown list, select the brand of the asset.
- In the Model text box, enter the model of the asset.
- In the Serial No text box, enter the serial number of the asset.
- From the Purchase Date dropdown calendar, select the purchase date of the asset.
- In the Invoice No text box, enter the invoice number of the purchase.
- In the Original Value description box, enter the actual value of the asset on which it was purchased.
- In the Current Value description box, enter the value of the asset as of today.
- Under the Warranty option, select Yes/No.
- Click Save to add the asset to the database.
