How can admin process PF for existing employees on a monthly basis?

A provident fund is a financial savings scheme that is typically set up by employers to help employees save a portion of their salary for their retirement.  To process PF for existing employees on a monthly basis, the admin can perform the following steps:

1. Process payroll for the employees.

To process the payroll of the employees, perform the following actions:

1. From your greytHR Admin login, navigate to Payroll > Process > Payroll Process. The Payroll Process page opens. 
2. Click Quick Process. The payroll starts processing and a Confirmation pop-up appears.
3. On the pop-up, click Close. You can also view the salary statement by clicking View Salary Statement.

2. Generate PF - ECR format report.

To generate a PF - ECR format report, the admin must perform the following actions:

1. From your greytHR Admin login, navigate to Reports > Reports > Reports Gallery. The Reports Gallery page opens.
2. Using the search box, search for PF -ECR Format. The form appears.
3. From the PF Filing Location dropdown list, select the required location.
4. From the Type dropdown list, select the required option.
5. From the Sort Order dropdown list, select the name of the column that will appear first in the report.
6. Click Options to customize the report.
7. Click Save to save the customization.
8. Click Generate to generate the PF - ECR Format report. A text file is downloaded to your system.

Note: After the generation of a file, the PF admin user must log in to PF Unified Portal and upload the PF - ECR format file in the portal.
