Regenerating passwords is an important security practice that helps to protect user accounts and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. There are several reasons why regenerating a password may be necessary such as forgotten or lost password, security breach or unauthorized access, password expiration, or periodic reset.

To regenerate user's password, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to the Settings icon > User Administration User Regenerate User Password. The Regenerate User Password opens.
  2. On the Regenerate User Password page, from the User dropdown list, select the user for whom you want to regenerate the password. The page displays the Email IDLast Login, and Password Changed On.
  3. Click the Generate & View button. The page displays the new password. You can manually inform the user about the new password.
  4. Click the Generate & Mail button to generate the password and send it via mail.
