How can admin create shifts for employees?

A shift refers to a specific period of time during which a group of workers is assigned to work. 


To create shifts for employees, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Settings icon > System Settings > Attendance Shift. The Shift page opens.
  2. Click + Add Shift. The page displays details to create a new shift.
  3. In the Shift Name text box, enter the name of the shift.
  4. In the Shift Code text box, enter the required shift code.
  5. From the Time Zone dropdown list, select the required time zone.
  6. From the Calculate Shift Hours based on: card, select the required option.
  7. In the Session card, enter the Session 1 and Session 2 details such as In TimeOut TimeGrace In TimeGrace Out TimeIn Margin, and Out Margin.
  8. In the Minimum hours worked to be considered as present: card, enter the minimum hours in the For Half Day and For Full Day.
  9. Click Save. A success message appears.
