An attendance cycle is the specified period for tracking employee attendance, which is used for payroll calculations.

The admins can configure a new attendance cycle from the Attendance Cycle page in greytHR Settings.

As an admin to configure the attendance cycle for employees, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Settings > System Settings > Attendance > Attendance Cycle. The Attendance Cycle page opens.

  2. Click +Add Attendance Cycle. The Add Attendance Cycle pop-up appears.

  3. In the Attendance Cycle Name textbox, enter the attendance cycle name.

  4. From the Start Date spin box, select a date to start the attendance cycle. The end date auto-populates.

  5. From the Cut-Off Date spin box, select a date to lock all the attendance activities.

  6. From the Employee Filter dropdown list, select the required employees.
Note: You can also add a new employee filter by clicking the icon.

  7. From the Effective From dropdown calendar, select a date for the cycle to become effective.

  8. Click Save to complete the configuration of the new cycle. The new attendance cycle appears on the Attendance Cycle page.

Note: An employee cannot have more than one attendance cycle for any date or date range excluding default attendance cycle.
