How can admin calculate employees' work hours excluding break times?

To accurately calculate employees' work hours while excluding break times, it is important to consider all the in-and-out swipes made by employees throughout the day. 

Many biometric devices only log the time and date of swipes without indicating whether the swipe is for entering or exiting the workplace.

The admins can now enable the All Swipes option from the greythHR Attendance Options page to record every in-and-out swipe. This allows the system to differentiate between work time and break time accurately. By processing all recorded swipes, the system ensures that only actual working hours are calculated.

To enable the option, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to the Settings icon > System Settings > Attendance Attendance Options. The Attendance Options page opens.

  2. From the Swipe Identification methods section, select the All Swipes option from the dropdown list.

  3. Click Save to save the changes.
