Why is the greytHR Visage kiosk capturing only sign-out swipes and not recording sign-in swipes as intended?

The greytHR Kiosk uses advanced facial recognition to track employee attendance securely and effortlessly by recognizing their faces.

According to the kiosk design specifications, the installation requires two separate kiosk devices for sign-in and another for sign-out. However, if both options are selected on a single device, the system fails to capture the in-out indicator for swipes. The default setting results in only the sign-out being recorded. To address this, when both options are enabled, the system should be configured to identify the inout indicator option in attendance settings. This adjustment ensures that the first swipe is recognized as sign-in, and the last swipe is considered as sign-out during attendance processing.

To enable the in/out indicator in attendance settings, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to the Settings icon > System Settings > Attendance > Attendance Options. The Attendance Options page opens.

  2. Select the Allow the system to identify every In/Out swipe type checkbox for the  In/Out swipe time of employees to reflect on the Employee Swipes page.

  3. Click Save to update the customization.
