Why is it important for the admin to correctly map sick leave to the Leave type rule in greytHR?

Sick leave is an employee benefit allowing employees to take paid or unpaid time off when they are ill, injured, or need to attend medical appointments.

In greytHR, correct mapping of sick leave to the Leave type rule ensures appropriate system messages.

If the admin fails to map the sick leave correctly, the system displays a generic message Woohoo! You have applied for sick leave. Have a good one."

When the Leave type rule is correctly mapped, the system displays a more suitable message Done! You’ve applied for sick leave. Hope you feel better soon.

To correctly map the sick leave to the Leave type rule, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin login, navigate to Settings icon > System Settings Miscellaneous Advanced Options. The Advanced Options page opens.

  2. In the Section search box, enter LEAVE.

  3. In the Search search box, enter Sick Leave. The table displays options related to sick leave.

  4. Select the Leave Type That Indicates Sick Leave row and double-click the Value column.

  5. From the dropdown list, select Sick Leave.

  6. Click Save to update the changes.
