Why does the employee get an error message "You cannot sign in through Kiosk. Try different methods or contact admin" is displayed while trying to initiate attendance marking via Kiosk?

greytHR Visage is a facial recognition-based attendance management system offered by greytHR.

To mark their attendance in Visage, the employees must configure Kiosk as swipe capturing method in the attendance scheme to avoid the error message You cannot sign in through Kiosk. Try different methods or contact admin.

To configure Visage to employees attendance scheme, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Settings System Settings > Attendance Attendance Scheme. The Attendance Scheme opens.

  2. Click the Edit Scheme Info icon of the required attendance scheme for which you want to configure the visage. 

  3. From the Edit Attendance Scheme page, under the Swipe Capturing Method list, select Kiosk.
