Generating an access code for employees to configure a geofence locator means creating a unique code that allows employees to set up or adjust the parameters of a geofence locator.

When an employee logs in to the mobile app for the first time, the admin generates and sends an access code to the employee via SMS.

To generate the access code for an employee, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to System Settings > Attendance > Setup Guide. The Setup Guide page opens.

  2.  Under Use GPS to mark employees attendance, click the Define location for employees to mark attendance card. A page opens.

  3. Click Generate Access CodeSMS the generated key pop-up appears. A unique Code Key generates automatically and displays. The access code is valid for 3 days at a time.

  4. From the Employee dropdown list, select the employee to whom you want to send the access code. The registered mobile number of the selected employee auto-populates.
Note: You can update the mobile number from the Employee Profile page if it is not visible.

  5. Click Send SMS. A success message appears. Employees can now enter the access code in the Setup Geofence option under mobile app settings.
Note: If an employee is unable to view the Setup Geofence option, that means you must assign an attendance scheme configured as Geo Fencing
     to the employee.
