A geofence establishes a virtual boundary utilizing precise geographical coordinates such as latitude and longitude of a physical site.

Once the employee receives the access code SMS, the employee must perform the following actions to configure the geofence locator:

  1. From the greytHR mobile application, on the top right corner tap Profile icon > Setup Geofence. The Setup Geofence screen opens.

  2.  In the Access Code text box, enter a valid access code received via SMS.
Note: The Access Code remains valid for a period of 3 days starting from the date of its generation.

  3. Click Next. A screen appears displaying the latitude and longitude details as Lat and Lon on the top right corner of the screen. These details auto-populate as per the current location.
    Note

    1. The Next tab is enabled only if the access code is valid.

    2. If your device location is off, the Device location is Off screen appears guiding you to turn it on by clicking Go to Settings.

  4. Under Radius (in Meters), enter the required radius.

  5. Under Location Name, enter the location details that differ from your existing location.

  6. Click Submit. A success message appears.

Note

  1. Click the ℹ️ icon on the top right corner of the Setup Geofence screen to learn more about the Current LocationDefine Radius, and Circumference.

  2. The employee can configure any number of geofence locations without any set limit.
