How can admin generate custom reports using query builder?

Custom reports are personalized reports created to meet specific informational requirements or preferences of an individual or organization.


To generate custom reports using the query builder, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin login, navigate to Reports > Query Builder. The Query Builder page opens.
  2. Click + Create Report. The CHOOSE FIELD section appears.
  3. Under Available Fields, from the Select Category dropdown list, select the required categories.
  4. Click the  arrow to move the required category to Output Fields.
  5. Click Next. The SORT ORDER section appears.
  6. Select the category from the Output Fields and click the  arrow to move the category to Sorting Order.
  7. Click Next. The FILTER CRITERIA section appears.
  8. Under the Quick tab, from the Category Type dropdown list, filter the required category.
  9. Click the  arrow to move the filtered category to the next column.
  10. Click Next. The RESULT section appears.
  11. In the Report Title text box, enter the title of the report.
  12. In the Description box, enter the description of the report.
  13. From the Employee Filter dropdown list, filter the employee details.
  14. Select Accessible for all users or Select users to allow them edit the report as per your requirement.
  15. Click Save Report to generate the custom report using the query builder. You can also click Export to download the report in your system.
