How can admin grant bereavement leave manually?

Bereavement leave is a type of leave granted to employees to provide them with time off from work to cope with the death or serious illness of a family member or close relative.

To grant bereavement leave to an employee manually, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Leave > Information > Employee Leave. The Employee Leave page opens.
  2. From the Search Employee search box, search for the employee you want to grant leave.
  3. Click Post Leave Transaction. The Post Leave Transaction form appears.
  4. From the Leave Type dropdown list, select Bereavement Leave.
  5. Select Granted from the Transaction Type dropdown list. 
  6. Select the appropriate date range and session from the From Date and To Date.
  7. In the Days text box, enter the number of days you want to grant the employee as bereavement leave.
  8. In the Expire Date box, click and select the expiry date from the calendar. 
  9. In the Reason text box, type the reason.
  10. If you want to ignore the current leave policy rules, select Ignore Leave Apply Rules check box. 
  11. Click Save to grant leave transaction for the selected employee.
