A negative salary is a temporary situation where an employee's earnings are subtracted from their regular salary.
The reasons that result in negative salary are advance repayment, expenses, deductions, adjustments, or reversals. The employee owes money to the employer as the deductions or absence without pay exceeds their usual earnings.
