Which tax regime's employees experience higher TDS deductions due to an inoperative PAN?

As per the Income Tax Act, linking PAN with Aadhaar is mandatory. Failing to do so, results in PAN becoming inoperative. The Income Tax Department applies a higher rate of TDS deduction to employees with an inoperative PAN.

Employees under both the old and new tax regimes are affected by the higher TDS deductions resulting from an inoperative PAN.
