Why are employees unable to sign in/sign out via the greytHR web platform but can do so successfully using their mobile devices?

The employees are usually unable to sign in or sign out through the greytHR web interface when the access rights Manual Swipe Attendance option is not enabled for the employee role on the User Roles page.


To enable the access rights for employee role to sign in/ sign out from the web interface, the admin must perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, click the Settings icon > User Administration > User > User Roles. The User Roles page opens.

  2. Select the required user role card and click the Edit icon. A page opens.

  3. From the Category dropdown list, select Attendance.

  4. In the Search search box, enter Manual. The table displays all the related features.

  5. Select the Manual Swipe Attendance and enable Read Access and Write Access checkboxes.

  6. Click Save to update the changes. A success message appears.
