Linking attendance to payroll means tracking work hours to automatically calculate accurate salaries for employees.
This ensures smooth payroll processing. Following are the steps to link attendance with payroll:
Add a component as Attendance LOP.
Add another component as LOP Availed.
To add a component as Attendance LOP, the admin must perform the following actions:
From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Payroll > Setup > Payroll Repository. The Payroll Repository page opens.
Under the Search component section, from the dropdown list, select Employee Workdays. A dropdown list appears.
Click +Add Child to add a new component. A form appears to add the component details.
In the Name textbox, type Attendance LOP.
In the Description textbox, enter a short description.
Click Save Changes.
Click the Agent Info tab. The tab expands.
From the Payroll Agent dropdown list, select Attendance Status Picker Agent.
From the Attendance Status dropdown list, select Absent.
Click Save Changes.
To add another component as LOP Availed, the admin must perform the following actions:
From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Payroll > Setup > Payroll Repository. The Payroll Repository page opens.
Under the Search component section, from the dropdown list, select Employee Workdays. A dropdown list appears.
Click +Add Child to add a new component. A form appears to add the component details.
In the Name textbox, type LOP Availed.
In the Description textbox, enter a short description.
Click Save Changes.
Click the Agent Info tab. The tab expands.
From the Payroll Agent dropdown list, select Leave agent.
From the Leave Type Category dropdown list, select Loss of pay.
From the Leave Transaction Type dropdown list, select Availed.
Click Save Changes.
To apply the formula, the admin must perform the following actions:
From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Payroll > Setup > Payroll Repository. The Payroll Repository page opens.
Under the Search component section, from the dropdown list, select Employee Workdays. A dropdown list appears.
Select LOP.
Click the Agent Info tab. The tab expands.
From the Payroll Agent dropdown list, select Formula Agent.
In the textbox, enter the formula LOP_AV+ATT_LOP+MAN_LOP.
Click Save Changes to update the customizations.
Note: As an admin when you process an employee’s payroll the absent status from Attendance Muster and LOP Availed will be picked automatically and displayed/computed in the payroll. To view these changes:
Navigate to Payroll > Payroll Inputs > Salary. The Salary page opens. Select an employee and process the payroll.
