API users interact with APIs by making requests and receiving responses (pull and push data). It is important to enable the role of API users in order to facilitate API integrations. For example, Tally. The role is enabled by the greytHR Implementation team.
To enable the role, the admin must perform the following actions:
From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to the Settings icon > System Settings > User Administration > User Roles. The User Roles page appears.
Select the user to whom you want to enable the access and click the Edit icon. A page opens.
From the Category dropdown list, select Select Category.
In the Search search box, type API. The API features list appears.
Select API User Provisioning and click the Read Access and Write Access checkboxes.
Click Save to enable the role for API users.
After enabling the role of API users, the next step is to generate the API credentials for the greytHR admins. To learn how to generate the API credentials, click here.
