The Leave Year End (LYE) process is an annual exercise conducted by the organization at the end of the leave year. It ensures that all leave-related details, such as lapses, encashments, and carry-forward balances, are in place before the next leave year begins.

To complete the leave year end processing, the application performs the following actions based on your company policies:

  1. Closes previous leave year and opens new leave year.
  2. Carry forward leave balance as an opening balance to the new leave year.
  3. Lapses extra leave balance.
  4. Encashes leave automatically.
  5. Leaves are granted for the new leave year.
  6. Restrict employees to apply for leaves for the previous leave year.
