Can admin override the loan amount of an employee after settlement to zero if there are pending installments to be paid?

No, the admin cannot override the loan amount of an employee to zero if there are pending installments to be paid. However, as an admin, you can update the pending amount under the Loan Repayment tab to avoid any pending amount as liability for the current month.


To update the loan repayment amount, perform the following actions:

  1. From the greytHR Admin portal, navigate to Payroll Payroll Inputs > Loan. The Loan page opens.

  2. In the Search Employee search box, enter the required employee name/number. The page displays the loan details of the employee.

  3. Select the required loan and click the Loan Repayments tab. The tab expands.

  4. Double-click the DateTo PrincipalTo InterestAmount, and Remarks columns to add the loan repayment details.

  5. Click Save to update the changes.
