ESI refers to Employees' State Insurance. This is a self-financing social security and health insurance scheme for the working class and is run by ESI Corporation.

In this scheme, an employee contributes part of their salary as an insurance premium and the employer also contributes to the scheme. ESI Corporation collects this money and runs ESI Hospitals. An employee can avail of the hospital service for free.

The ESI report considers a field called ESI Eligibility. An employee's name displays in the ESI report only if marked as ESI Eligible in employee information.

The admin must verify if PF Eligible and ESI Eligible check boxes are selected on the Employee Information page of the greytHR application.
